The M-60 is a belt-fed, air-cooled, gas-operated machine gun that was developed in the United States in the late 1950s as a replacement for the M1919A4 machine gun and was used extensively by the US military during the Vietnam War. It has been used by various branches of the US military and other countries around the world. It fires 7.62mm NATO rounds and can be used in both a bipod and tripod configurations. It has a reputation for being a reliable and powerful weapon. Despite some drawbacks, the M60 remained in service with the US military for several decades before being largely phased out in favor of newer machine guns like the M240. It was also widely exported to other countries and remains in use by some military and law enforcement organizations around the world.
The M60 machine gun was popularized among the general public by the movie "Rambo," and a game kit in the "ORIGINAL" series was named after the protagonist in honor of the film.
Despite its large size, frequent malfunctions, and relatively poor performance, American soldiers nicknamed the M60 "the pig." The body of the laser tag gun is based on an airsoft gun and is made of metal with impact-resistant plastic elements. Because metal predominates in the construction, the weight of the laser tag machine gun is 15.7 pounds (7.1 kg). The use of metal also ensures high-quality results in the finished product due to the integration of electronics.
The reloading mechanism is authentic and uses a bolt. The gun is turned on with a key. The M60 is equipped with folding bipods, a carrying handle, and a belt box that can be removed if necessary.
The power source is a 2200 mAh lithium battery located in the gas vent tube. The autonomous operating time is up to 36 hours, depending on the generation of electronics and the use of energy-intensive options such as Feedback and online statistics. Thanks to the acoustic properties of the housing, the M60 "RAMBO" emits a high quality and moderately loud sound.
The optimal range of fire of this laser tag machine gun with the Prism laser tag optic is up to 820 ft (250 meters), while the Parallax version can reach up to 1,300 ft (400 meters) with a much narrower infrared beam.
