The APS (Avtomaticheskiy Pistolet Stechkina) was developed in the USSR immediately after the Second World War and was characterized by the fact that it had the ability to fire in full auto, which was quite effective when using a buttstock. A specially designed holster in the form of a buttstock was attached to perform convenient automatic fire.
Originally intended for tank and artillery crews, it gained wide popularity among officers of special forces units, but then began to be used only by the KGB. Currently, it is mainly used either as a secondary weapon for snipers or as a pilot’s weapon.
The laser tag pistol is made by integrating our laser tag electronics into the Gletcher APS NBB air pistol, which is a replica of a real combat pistol. The body of the gun is made of high-strength aluminum alloy, so the players can feel the coldness of real weapon metal in their hands. The laser tag optics are fully integrated into the muzzle of the gun and a special plug limits the range of fire to about 165 feet (50 meters), which is typical for pistol class of laser tag weapons. At the same time, the infrared beam is much narrower than that of assault rifles or SMGs, which means that the player must aim more carefully.
The weight of the laser tag pistol is 1.9 lb (885 grams).
The grip houses a 0.8 Ah lithium-ion battery that should last for 10 hours of full-time gaming, and the charging port is conveniently located on the underside of the grip.
The pistol is reloaded by moving the bolt frame, just like a real handgun is cocked.
The length of the pistol is 8.9 inches (22.5 centimeters).
The gun is turned on by pressing the button, which is located at the bottom of the grip next to the charging socket.
