The APB pistol (automatic silenced pistol), is a modernized version of the Stechkin APS pistol and was widely used by the KGB of the USSR due to its combat qualities. It is currently used by Russian special forces, SOBR (SWAT analogue) and OMON (riot police) units.
The external tube with built-in laser tag optics, which is akin to a combat silencer in its appearance, has a range of up to 330 feet (about 100 meters), which is more than enough for most laser tag venues.
Like the APS pistol, the tagger is based on the Gletcher air pistol, with an aluminum alloy body, so the tagger feels like a real weapon in your hand, especially since the appearance is a replica of a real life counterpart.
The length of the pistol including the optics, is 14.8 inches (37.5 centimeters), and its mass is close to the combat pistol and is 2.1 lb. (0.95 kilograms)
Because the pistol has external optics, the developers have extra space inside the body of the pistol and make the laser tag handgun switch on with the fire mode lever. Reloading is done by moving the pistol’s slider frame. In this case, the slide must be manually returned to its original position, since it does not have a spring like the Desert Eagle or Glock.
Inside the laser handgun, there is a battery with a capacity of 800 milliamp hours, which allows the owner to play for up to 10 hours.
The pistol is recommended for rental laser tag businesses, but we encourage the owners to use it with caution, especially when reloading by moving the slider.
