2. How to integrate laser tag electronics into airsoft case
We have created a very brief description and added it to our FAQ.
1. Best Places to Mount the Electronics
The motherboard and speaker are best placed in the tagger magazine. Generally, there is enough space for everything. You can make a few holes opposite the speaker for better sound quality.
We highly recommend purchasing our branded magazines, the M-series and AK-series, along with the electronics integration kits. First, they are plastic, so nothing will interfere with the Bluetooth signal that connects the tagger and the headband. Second, they have special mounting places for the motherboard and speaker, and they can also house the display, which is essential for AlphaTag and newer generations.
The battery is placed in the stock or another part of the body. We recommend the stock because it is convenient to install both the power button and the charging port.
The vibration motor is installed in the foregrip or handle, where it is better felt by the player.
2. How to Secure the Electronics Safely Inside the Body
We recommend using hot glue or securing all electronics with screws if mounting places are available.
3. Where to Use Heat Shrink Tubing
At the solder points of wires to the pins of electronic components. Sometimes we cover the entire motherboard with heat shrink tubing.
4. Trigger Options (Button, Micro Switch, Hall Sensor, How and Where to Install)
In airsoft bodies, only a micro switch is used inside the body. It is installed so that pressing the trigger closes the microswitch. You can use the manufacturer-installed closing mechanism in M-series gearbox drives or install a micro switch inside.
5. How to Install the Optical System and What to Know When Ordering
The optical system (prism or parallax) is installed on the threaded connection of the airsoft body. When ordering, specify the thread's diameter, pitch, and direction, for example, 14x1, left-hand thread.
6. What is Needed for Integration
Minimum set:
- Motherboard
- Battery
- Speaker
- Two micro switches (one for the trigger, one for reloading)
- Power button or switch
- Power socket
- Optical tube (parallax optical system or prism), including the tube and platform with the signal module, shot illumination and hit the sensor
Optionally, you can aadd a display, vibration motor, and mounting wire.
