Compact, convenient, lightweight, reliable, realistic. Ever wanted such a laser tag gun? It DOES exist, it’s called the KAC PDW, and the best part, we have it!
The KAC is somewhat in between the classic assault rifle and a submachine gun, a niche weapon class called Personal Defense Weapon, and is used primarily by US special forces.
Compactness
The KAC PDW laser tag gun has a skeletal stock that is attached to the bottom of the lower receiver, and with folded stock this tagger is only 25.4 inches (64.5 cm) long, which is smaller than any other assault rifle with external optics (only the ARP556 with integrated Parallax is shorter). With the stock unfolded, its length is 34.3 inches (87 cm).
Reliability
The tagger is made from a metal airsoft gas-operated Blowback gun. Such models are usually particularly durable, since they were originally designed to have external moving parts by the manufacturer. The only part made of impact-resistant plastic is the pistol grip.
Despite all this, we still recommend this tagger for personal use, although we know that it has been successfully serving many of our laser tag business operators for many years.
Convenience
In this tagger, the receiver parts and handguard set a complete whole, so the top Rail Integrated System rail is located throughout the entire length, which gives the player the opportunity to install a red dot sight, which is equally convenient to use with both the folded and unfolded buttstock. And the tagger with the folded buttstock is very convenient to use when playing in buildings, so the gun is ideal for both regular laser tag battles and CQB.
The side and bottom Picatinny rails on the handguard allow the tagger owner to install any additional equipment from foregrips to flashlights and laser sights.
Lightweight
Tager weighs only 5.5 pounds (2.5 kilograms), which is an absolute record among realistic copies of assault rifles. This weight allows children as young as 8 years to use this tagger. Since the gun is so light, a single-point sling can be used to carry it around with the sling swivel being located just on the buttstock.
Realism
The KAC laser tag gun is turned on by switching the fire selector to full auto, as in real-life counterparts, and reloading is performed by pulling the charging handle, as in the M4 and M16 models.
Specs
The specifications are fully consistent with the standard that is used for most Laserwar assault rifles. The laser tag gun uses a 2,200 mAh lithium-ion battery that allows the owner to play up to 36 hours without further charge (depending on the use of the vibration motor and Wi-Fi). And the range is 820 feet (250 meters) with Prism optics and 1000 feet (300 meters) with Parallax optics.
