SCAR is one of the most highly sophisticated assault rifles used by special forces. Just like the way the M16-A1 became a symbol of the Vietnam War, the tan painted SCAR became a symbol of operations in Afghanistan because it proved to be more reliable than other rifles of the same caliber in desert conditions.
This model of the SCAR laser tag tagger with an extended barrel is a Marksman variant having been supplied to the US Special Operations Command units since 2010.
The SCAR laser tag rifle is made from an airsoft gun, and we only recommend it for personal use due to the relatively weak stock attachment, which can be broken by careless users within a short time. We recommend using it by experienced players who treat their beloved toys with a considerable degree of care.
Despite some weaknesses, this mostly metal tagger is reliable enough to be used in personal use. Like the real-life counterpart, the remaining parts of the tagger (the stock, pistol grip and lower receiver) are made of weapon-grade damage-resistant plastic.
SCAR is very convenient for customization, because it has 4 Picatinny rails, with the upper one being prolonged along the entire length of the upper receiver. It allows the owner to install lots of devices, including placing them one after another, such as a red dot magnifier and a red dot sight, which is especially useful for taggers used as a marksman rifle. The side and bottom rails are designed to mount a foregrip, underbarrel grenade launcher, flashlights, laser aiming devices and other accessories.
Since we initially planned that this laser tag gun would not be used for rental business, we retained a couple of moving parts and kept the activation of the gun by switching its fire mode selector to full auto, and reloading is performed with the charging handle.
The tagger is similar in weight to its real-life counter-part and weighs 7.3 pounds (approximately 3.3 kilograms). The length of the laser tag gun ranges from 69 cm with the folded stock to 90 cm when unfolded, which means that it will fit in most airsoft cases for carrying actuators designed for a clipped magazine.
The tagger uses a fairly powerful battery with a volume of 2.2 Amp hours, which gives possibility to play up to 36 hours depending on the enabled Wi-Fi statistics option and the frequency of using the vibration motor. The range of fire is standard for assault rifles and is 820 feet for a Prism and 1000 and 1300 feet for various Parallax versions (approximately 250, 300 and 400 meters respectively).
Please note that the tagger is available in two colors, black and tan, so please specify the desired color in the order comments.
