Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
Colonel Bill Kilgore, Apocalypse Now
This is an old school M16 laser tag rifle with a triangular handguard, a short 20-rounds magazine and a monolithic carry handle that also features a diopter sight. Everything looks and feels like it was brought directly from Vietnam era, no trendy red-dot sights or collapsible stocks and modern tacticool toys, just black steel and military-grade plastic without light alloys, typical for airsoft models. This is a direct AR-15 descendant.
The laser tag rifle almost completely repeats its M16-A1 real-combat counterpart. The handguard of the rifle, its fixed stock and pistol grip are made of black plastic. Due to the copy of Colt fiberglass fixed stock, the rifle has a rather impressive length of 42 inches (about 107 cm), which must be taken into account, because it will not fit in every bag designed for airsoft guns.
During development, we tried to keep the number of moving parts to a minimum in order to maximize its reliability. Therefore, we left just reloading with the pull of the charging handle. After numerous tests, we had to fix the fire selector lever, forward assist assembly and other moving parts, so the rifle is activated using the anti-vandal lock, and not the fire selector lever as on M4-A1 and M4-A3 laser tag rifles.
The rifle is equipped with a 2.2 Ah lithium-ion battery, which will allow player to use it up to 36 hours without recharging, depending on the integrated electronics generation and use of such options as feedback and OLED.
The range of fire is standard for Laserwar laser tag assault rifles and is up to 820 feet (about 250 meters) with a Prism optical system; 1000 feet (about 300 meters) with a narrower beam Parallax system in the assault rifle version and 1300 feet (about 400 meters) with an even narrower beam when installing the sniper version optical system.
Everything else is the same as the rest of the AR-15-based rifles in our product line: the speaker is built into the magazine, which features special acoustic holes for louder and clearer sound, the power socket is closed with a rubber plug to protect against moisture, and every shot is highlighted with our proprietary X-cross illumination.
