«AK CASCADE» Steel series

AK «Cascade» is one of the most interesting, but also expensive taggers in our product line of realistic laser tag assault rifles designed for tactical games. It was created on the basis of the factory deactivated AK103 combat rifle, which is an export version of the Kalashnikov assault rifle chambered for the Soviet 7.62 cartridge, used mainly in Latin America.

But the main difference of this AK laser tag gun is that it has a standard underbarrel grenade launcher from the AK series.

Underbarrel grenade launcher

The underbarrel grenade launcher is typically used to hit a group of enemy players and is especially effective in confined spaces. However, the player must be aware of one of its important characteristics. Under combat conditions, there is a delay between the time a grenade launcher is fired and the time the grenade detonates.  In order to simulate this delay, the sound of a shot is heard immediately after the trigger of the grenade launcher is pressed, but the shot from the laser tag grenade launcher (that is, the infrared beam emission) occurs two seconds later.

Both laser tag optical systems inside the tagger are controlled by the same circuit board, while the underbarrel grenade launcher has its own set of settings, including grenade damage, number of grenades, kickback effect, etc. The kickback effect parameter simulates the player being «shocked» by the recoil after firing a grenade launcher, and means that the player cannot fire from the primary weapon.

A separate optical system of the underbarrel grenade launcher has a range of fire of up to 200 feet (about 60 meters). The grenade launcher automatically reloads after a time set in the laser tag configurator, but this time is interrupted if the player fires or reloads the primary weapon.

The range of the primary barrel depends on the type of optical system used. With a Parallax system tube, it will be up to 1,000 feet (300 meters) with a narrower beam, and on a prism up to 820 feet (250 m) with a wider beam.

This AK laser tag rifle is equipped with a 2.2 ampere-hour battery, which allows the owner to play for up to 36 hours. This time will be less if the player uses energy-consuming options, such as transmitting statistics over a 10th generation or AlphaTag Wi-Fi network, or if feedback is enabled.
