AK-BM Hammer is a modification of our AK105 Bars laser tag gun and differs mainly in the magazine type. We use a real deactivated magazine for this tagger, called a drum in gunners slang, which holds 75 rounds. The same magazine is often used in Soviet RPK type machine guns. Therefore, players using such taggers can get authentic settings with 75 rounds per magazine, longer reload time but fewer magazines for each round.
Like the AK105, this tagger is made from factory demilitarized gun and has a gunmetal body. The lower part of the handguard, the upper part of the gas tube handguard and the buttstock are made of a special gun-grade glass-filled polyamide.
This laser tag AK gun has phenomenal durability, so we recommend it for rental, however, individual players and laser tag business operators should keep in mind that this is a rather heavy tagger. Due to the use of a large metal magazine, its weight is 9 lb (4.1 kilograms), so it can only be used by experienced and hardy players. However, the installation of a round metal magazine, which is an excellent mechanical acoustic amplifier, provided a louder sound that will pleasantly surprise players.
This AK laser tag gun has mechanical sights in the form of an adjustable rear sight and front sights, but if the owner wants to install his own collimator or optical sight, then it can be mounted on a special optional dovetail adapter that is mounted on the left side of the tagger.
As with most of our most authentic models based on factory demilitarized firearms, the reloading here is done by moving the charging handle. And firing is accomplished by setting the safety catch to the appropriate position.
The maximum range of the laser tagger depends on the type of external optical system installed. When equipped with a Prism, which has a tube similar to the PBS-1 (concealed fire device) for Kalashnikov rifles, the range will be up to 820 feet (250 meters). With the Parallax optical system, whose tube is similar to a flash hider, the range of fire will be up to 1000 feet (300 meters), but the infrared beam diameter will be much smaller.
The size of the laser tag gun is the same as the AK105, measuring 28.3 inches (72 cm) with the stock folded and 38.8 inches (96 cm) with the stock unfolded.
