This is a replica of one of the first models of the shortened and folding-stock AK74 renditions, which was design to arm Soviet airborne units and tank crews. This assault gun is still used by both special forces and the police in many countries due to its smaller size, concealed carry possibility and higher damage characteristics compared to the most submachine guns. Compared to the standard AK74, this model has a significantly shotened barrel and a modified gas chamber.
This model of the AKS-74U laser tag gun is made on the basis of a CYMA-made airsoft gun body. The gun body is made of metal, except for the wooden handguard and plastic pistol grip, so we recommend it for laser tag rental business, albeit with the caution typical of airsoft models.
And just for the commercial use, in order to have fewest moving parts in this tagger, we decided to assign reload function not to the charging handle, as in some of our models, but to the button located on the left side of the lower receiver. Activation is also performed not with the fire mode switch, but with a special anti-vandal lock, activated with a respective key.
A powerful 3 Ah lithium-ion battery installed inside the tagger, allows the AKS-74U laser tag playset to work up to 36 hours without further charge, depending on the options integrated (online statistics based on 10th generation Wi-Fi and Alphatag, OLED display and the frequency of gun Feedback option activation).
The weight of the laser tag gun is slightly less than its real-life counterpart and is 5.5 pounds (approximately 2.5 kilograms). At the same time, the gun is so compact that it will fit in most airsoft bags and cases. And with the buttstock folded to the side, its length is only 24.5 inches (62 centimeters), and with the buttstock unfolded, it is 34 inches (86 centimeters).
The range of fire of the AKS-74U laser tag machine is about 650 feet (approximately 200 meters) using a regular Prism optical system and from 1000 to 1300 feet (300 to 400 meters) using various versions of Parallax optics for assault and sniper rifles.
