Steyr AUG-3 «COBRA» Original series

Steyr AUG 3 laser tag rifle is one of the most popular realistic bullpup designs for military laser tag scenarios along with L85A1 and FN-F2000. The reason is primarily the ergonomics of the bullpup platform, which shifts the center of mass closer to the player's shoulder and makes it possible to hold the tagger in the aiming position longer than regular taggers of realistic looks and weight.

At the same time, the tagger itself is quite light, since it is made mainly of impact-resistant plastic. The weight of the rifle is 6.8 pounds (3.1 kilograms), which is basically standard for NATO assault rifles.

Since the rifle is recommended for experienced laser tag fighters’ personal use, we kept the option to reload it with the charging handle.
The optimal range of fire with the Prism optics is 600 feet (185 meters), the maximum is 820 feet (250 meters). With Parallax optics, this range will rise up to over 1,000 feet (about 300 meters).

Despite that the rifle is a bullpup, it is longer than traditional folding stock rifles, like G36, and is 38 inches (97 centimeters) long.
Four steel Picatinny rails of the AUG 3 laser tag gun allow the player to install almost any additional tactical devices.

A foregrip or even a laser tag underbarrel grenade launcher are usually attached to the lower rail, the upper part is reserved for telescopic or red dot sights, while even sequential installation of a collimator sight and a red dot magnifier is possible, and tactical lights are usually placed on the side.
