M16-M203 «SWAT» Original Series

Our players have always wanted something more powerful than 5.56 or 7.62 calibers and while we have .50 BMG anti-materiel sniper rifles, rocket and grenade launchers and 6-barrel Minigun in our arsenal, regular players have always wanted to hold something special in their hands.

We made it. This special is a M16 laser tag rifle with an M203 underbarrel grenade launcher.

For playing with this rifle, we had to expand the laser tag gun firmware and add additional parameters, such as

• grenade launcher damage,
• the number of available grenades,
• reload time
• grenade launcher kickback time

Kickback parameter is the period the player is “under shock” by the recoil of the grenade launcher, during which the player cannot shoot their primary weapon.
The M203 underbarrel grenade launcher mounted on a Picatinny rail has its shorter range but larger area of impact. The range of the shot is 165 feet (approximately 50 meters), while the infrared signal spot diameter at this distance reaches about 8 feet (approximately 2.5 meters).

The range of fire from the main gun corresponds to the range of optics for other assault rifles manufactured by our company and is from 820 to 1300 feet, depending on the type of optical system, Parallax or Prism and their versions.
Laser tag underbarrel grenade launcher has another important feature that must be taken into account. When the trigger is pressed, the grenade launcher sounds immediately, bur the infrared signal shot itself is made after 2 seconds, which simulates the time it takes for the grenade to reach its target.

All settings of the underbarrel grenade launcher are configured the same way through the laser tag configurator applications in accordance with the generation of electronics installed in the laser tag gun.

The tager has a standard AR-15 carry handle, which also serves as a diopter sight as a whole. It is mounted on a Picatinny rail and can be removed by the laser tag gun owner to be replaced with optional telescopic or collimator (red dot) sight. The tagger also features Picatinny rails on the top and sides of the handguard which can be used to mount additional tactical accessories such as flashlights, laser designators, sling swivels, etc. The grenade launcher is mounted on the lower Picatinny rail.

The weight of the tagger has grown due to the underbarrel grenade launcher and in the same way has become close to its real-life counterpart and is 10 pounds (about 4.6 kilograms).

The tagger is equipped with a 2.2 Ah lithium-ion battery, which allows you to play up to 36 hours without further charge, depending on the intensity of use and the electronics generation.

The rest of the tagger is similar to other M-series-based models from our product line. The reloading the gun is performed by pulling its charging handle, and activation has been moved from the fire selector to a separate button or anti-vandal key for greater reliability. The power socket is protected against moisture with a special rubber plug.
