This is the most popular AKS-74U laser tag gun out of three similar laser taggers produced by our company (among this model, AKS-74U Falcon and AKS-74U Raven). Each of these guns has its own advantages and features, and the main feature of the Hawk is a tactical handguard with four Picatinny rails. It is no secret that the main disadvantage of all AK-based assault rifles is the need to mount a special dovetail adapter on the left side of the weapon for installing any additional equipment, since the charging handle is located on the right side. This significantly limits the amount of additional equipment used and does not allow the stock to be folded with the sights installed. This AKS-74U family laser tag gun is completely devoid of these shortcomings.
The tactical handguard featuring four Rail Integration System rails, can be equipped with tactical lights, laser designators, additional sling swivels, collimator or telescopic sights, red dot magnifiers, foregrips and even a small underbarrel laser tag grenade launcher compatible with the compact AK series.
Thus, the custom upgrade of a laser tag gun by a player or business owner/operator can only be limited by their imagination and availability of this tactical fancy stuff.
Otherwise, the tagger is similar to the other two models of folding shortened AK74’s from our product line, which means that reloading is performed by pushing the button so that the tagger has fewer moving parts and has a longer service life. And the service life can be really long, because the basis of this tagger is a unique model from CYMA, which has an all-metal body with a skeleton metal stock folding to the left.
Inside the magazine, there is a powerful speaker that emits clear and loud sound, and on the magazine, there is an anti-vandal lock, so the tagger gets activated with a special key, which is very useful for using this gun in the rental business.
Inside this AKS-74U, there is a 3000 milliamp hours battery which will allow operator to use it up to 36 hours on a single charge.
The range of fire is standard for guns with a similar laser tag optics system. With Prism optics installed, the maximum range will be about 820 feet, and sure shot distance is at 600 feet (approximately 250 and 200 meters, respectively). With narrower Parallax beam optics installed, the range will be up to 1000 feet with assault optics type and up to 1300 feet with sniper optics type and a very narrow beam (approximately 300 and 400 meters, respectively).
